A Caribbean home for our family — and yours.

We're Alan and Christine. We started building vacation homes for our own family, and over the years it became something larger — a small collection of properties where we host guests the way we'd want to be hosted.

Our homes started in Windsor Hills Resort outside of Kissimmee, Florida, a few minutes from Walt Disney World. We named them the Time-Out Corner, Time-Out Corner, Too, and Time-Out Corner, Lakeside — three 6-bedroom villas designed for families that want a real break from the everyday five minutes from Disney.

Rincón del Descanso is the Caribbean side of the same family. The Spanish phrase means "a place to rest" — and that's really all we were ever trying to build. A place where you arrive a little tired and leave a little better. Where the everyday gets quieter for a week. We don't think of it as a translation of "Time-Out Corner" so much as the same idea in another language. Different climate, different food, different rhythm — same family of homes, same intent.

The Rincón property is on the eastern Caribbean side of Isla Mujeres, Mexico. It was previously known as Casa Vidrio del Mar. Nothing about the home itself has changed — same pool, same palapa, same sea turtles — but we are in the middle of a thoughtful, designer-led renovation that's taking the home to a new level. Soft warm whites throughout the interior, a vibrant terra cotta and gold on the exterior, new furnishings, new styling, new photography to follow. The work has been a labor of love, and our recent guests have been the first to see the result.
