Your hosts, Alan and Christine.
From Our Family To Yours
We're Alan and Christine, and Rincón del Descanso — "a place to rest" in Spanish — is our family's Caribbean home on Isla Mujeres. We've thoughtfully created our retreats for our own family first and, now, for yours too. Each one is designed to feel effortless and comfortable, with personality in every room.
This three-bedroom oceanfront home sits right on the Caribbean Sea, with a private infinity pool, a rooftop palapa for sunrise coffee and sunset cocktails, and a beach where sea turtles nest in the summer. It was formerly known as Casa Vidrio del Mar — same beautiful house, new name that finally connects it to the rest of our family. We're also in the middle of a thoughtful, designer-led renovation that's taking the home to a new level — soft warm whites inside, vibrant terra cotta and gold outside, new furnishings, and new photography to follow.
Back in Florida, we also operate three vacation homes in Windsor Hills Resort, Kissimmee — the original Time-Out Corner, Time-Out Corner, Too, and Time-Out Corner, Lakeside — all just minutes from Disney, Universal, and the Orlando parks. Different language, same idea: a place to set down the everyday and take a real time-out.
Every detail across our properties has been chosen to make your stay special, and our goal is simple — a welcoming place where you and your family feel completely at ease. We can't wait to host you.

Meet Your Hosts
Alan and Christine are based in Connecticut, where we raise our two children and a small zoo of pets. What started as a single Florida vacation home has grown into a family of properties across two countries — shaped by years of traveling with kids of our own, which is why every detail is designed with real families in mind.
Rincón del Descanso is the newest member of that family, and our first outside the United States. When we're not hosting, you'll find us planning the next family adventure — or hiding out at one of our own homes.
